Giving on SCA Giving Day changes lands and lives–and with challenge funds, your gift goes even further! Challenge funds are allocated to SCA programs based on the results of SCA Giving Day competitions. Scroll down to learn more about how your gift on September 21 will help unlock more money for programs that are important to you.
Don’t miss the chance to multiply your impact, thanks to gift matching opportunities below. If all three giving challenges are met, we’ll unlock a total of $25,000!
Giving Challenge #1:
64 and More
When 64 donors contribute to peer-to-peer fundraisers hosted by our SCA alumni, we’ll receive $6,400 in matching funds in honor of our 64th year! Your gift to an alums fundraiser will support conservation projects and programs in your neighborhood and beyond.
Giving Challenge #2:
Make Giving Day Last All Year
The first 25 new Trail Builders to start their monthly commitment on Giving Day will have $64 added to their first monthly gift, unlocking $1,600 in extra funding for SCA’s conservation programs!
Giving Challenge #3:
SCA is Everywhere
When all 50 states have at least one unique donor, we’ll unlock another $5,000 in challenge funds for SCA’s conservation programs! In 2020 alone, SCA crews helped at more than 450 parks, public lands, and green spaces in every state across the country.
SCA will earn $1 for every post using the #SCAGivingDay up to a $2,000 challenge match. Use #SCAGivingDay to help SCA and to be entered into raffles throughout the day.
SCA “Flat Space Eagle”
Did you or your child experience the Flat Stanley phenomenon as a child? Well this challenge will allow you to relive those days with our Flat Space Eagle. The Space Eagle is a beloved SCA logo that was used from the 1960’s until 2007. So let’s help him fly again. Print him out and take him wherever you go; the mountains, trails, lakes, the supermarket. Everywhere 😊. Take a selfie and post it using #SCAGivingDay to help us meet our $2,000 challenge.
Love of our Lands
Share a pic of where you served or your favorite national park or public land for a chance to be featured in an SCA publication or ad campaign. Be sure to #SCAGivingDay.
SCA Family is Forever
Did you meet your BFF or significant other during your SCA service? Share a photo of you and that person for a chance for each of you to receive a SCA swag bag. Be sure to #SCAGivingDay.
